The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children is now offering a no-cost, web-based program to law-enforcement agencies responsible for investigating missing or abducted children cases. The program, called Lost Child Alert Technology Resource (or LOCATER) allows law enforcement to easily create their own missing person posters and instantly transmit them electronically to other agencies, the media, and the public via the Internet. Both sending and receiving agencies can print high-quality posters for distribution at roll calls, at incident command posts, and to the community. To use the program download the application or log on the website for more information.
