CONFERENCE PLANNING/LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING

SEPTEMBER 21-22, 2010

CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL, CUSTER, SD

Dear Society Members:

As most of you know by now the Great Plains Region will be hosting the national conference next May at the Crazy Horse Convention Center near Custer, South Dakota. The Great Plains Tribal Fish and Wildlife Commission will be hosting this event. Therefore we will be meeting at Crazy Horse on Tuesday September 21 to start the on site planning process.    Many of you who attended the conference in June at Fond du Lac volunteered to help with the planning. I’m sending you this notice so you will be sure and mark this on your calendar, to join us for this special gathering.  On September 22, we will be offering a one day simmunitions training for the law enforcement folks. We will also be conducting the shoot team competition so if any of you want to represent our Region at the national shoot next spring you will need to be there.  I encourage you all to participate and as you all know the top five will be representing our Region.  Let’s bring home the trophy.

I have set aside a block of rooms under the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society at the Bavarian Inn and Super Eight Motel in Custer.  The rates at the Bavarian Inn are $62.00 and the Super Eight they are $69.88.  Please make your reservations as soon as possible.  They will hold the rooms up until two weeks before September 20.  .

If you have any questions concerning this event please contact me at (406) 585-9010 or Sally Carufel-Williams at (303) 466-1725. See you all in Custer.

Sincerely,

Ron Skates,
Great Plains Regional Director
Native American Fish & Wildlife Society
