Yurok Tribe Push Legislation to Take Over Scenic Park, Forest & Sanctuary Lands

WASHINGTON - November 22 - An Indian tribe is seeking federal backing for legislation transferring portions of Redwood National Park, Six Rivers National Forest and marine sanctuary waters off northern California to be run as a tribal park, according to documents posted today by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER).
