The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society 2023 Annual National Conference will take place on April 24-27, 2023 in Anchorage, AK hosted by Chugach Regional Resources Commission. We are now accepting applications for the 2023 National Conference Travel Assistance.
Eligibility:
- Must be within the natural resources and related fields (conservation law, environmental science, botany, etc.)
- Priority in awarding will go to:
- Alaska Native presenters (both in AK and lower 48)
- BIA Wildlife & Parks funded project presenters
- Additionally, individuals that submit an abstract (due February 10th, submit abstracts here) and will be presenting will receive priority in awarding.
- As a recipient, you must complete the responsibilities: attend the national conference in it’s entirety, abide by the NAFWS Travel Policy, submit completed travel expense forms & receipts by May 12, 2023 10 PM Mountain Time.
Funding Covers:
- Airfare and/or mileage: you must save/submit your receipt for your airfare. This funding does not cover gas since it covers mileage.
- Lodging, Hilton in downtown Anchorage (500 W 3rd Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501): you must save/submit your receipt
- Per Diem: This will be determined by Education Coordinator. No need to submit receipts for food purchases.
