The Native American Fish & Wildlife Society 40th Annual National Conference will be hosted by Chugach Regional Resources Commission on April 24-27, 2023 at the Hilton in downtown Anchorage, AK.

Registration Fees – Register in person after April 17, 2023

Registration fees before March 24th
Non-member – $600 (includes membership)
NAFWS Member or Member Tribe Employee – $450
Student – $300 MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF ENROLLMENT BELOW

Registration fees after March 24th
Non-member – $700 (includes membership)
NAFWS Member or Member Tribe Employee – $550
Student – $400 MUST SUBMIT PROOF OF ENROLLMENT BELOW

Other fees – Pay in person

• Monday Workshops (4/24) are free and open to conference attendees, there is no sign-up prior to workshop.
• Tuesday Traditional Feast (4/25), transportation will be provided for conference attendees.
• Thursday Natural Resource Tours (4/27) are free and open to conference attendees, there will be a sign up for first come, first serve conference attendees. Sign-up sheet will be at the registration desk for individuals to sign up.

Registration Instructions

Up to date Individual Members and Member Tribe employees are eligible for discounted registration fees.

If purchasing multiple tickets, please fill out attendee details for each ticket purchased. For accommodations and dietary restrictions, submit requests in the Additional Information field. Contact Heidi McCann (hmccann@nafws.org) to verify membership or for assistance setting up an account. 

You have the option to download the Registration Form and bring it to the conference with your payment as well.

Room Reservations & Transportation

ROOM BLOCK IS FULL, you are still able to make reservations, but not at the block rate – The conference will be located at the Hilton in downtown Anchorage at 500 W 3rd Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501. There is a block of rooms reserved until March 24, 2023 (Single: $189.00 | Double: $189.00 | Triple: $209.00 | Quad: $229.00). Use group code: NAFWS

There is no shuttle provided by the hotel to transport attendees from the airport to the hotel, conference attendees must organize transportation to and from the airport.

Call for Abstracts –

• We are no longer accepting abstracts for either the concurrent or poster sessions.

Travel Funding –

• Update 3/17: Our Education Coordinator sent notifications of funding award status for the National Conference Student Travel Scholarship (students only) and National Conference Travel Assistance (Non-students, Reimbursement Funding) on March 17th – applicants check your inboxes, sometimes emails may be in the Spam or Junk Folder.

Salmon 5K Fun Run & Walk

• We are hosting a 5k for conference attendees on Thursday, April 27th at 6:00 am – 8:30 am in a location near the Hilton Downtown Anchorage.
• To register, please follow this link.
• First 30 registrants will receive a 40th celebration anniversary water bottle! Registration is $35.00 if you register & pay before April 7th. Price will increase to $45.00 for “On-Holds”, “Will send a check”, and registrants after April 7th.

Donations for Silent Auction, Door Prizes, and Raffles

Each year NAFWS hosts a silent auction and raffles to raise money for our Undergraduate and Graduate Scholarship program. Please consider bringing a donation.

Cancellations

Registrations are refundable with a $50 administrative fee until April 14. After April 14, fees are non-refundable, but substitutions are allowed.
