About the Publication

From the Field is a publication by the Native American Fish and Wildlife Society that provides a platform for Tribes to share their work, perspectives, and values. It fosters community, shares knowledge, and creates networking opportunities among Tribes and partners engaged in natural resource management.

We are proud to announce the release of the inaugural issue of From the Field – Elevating Indigenous Voices on April 15th, 2026! This first issue features Tribal research, perspectives, and community-led projects that highlight Indigenous leadership in natural resource management.

Submission Information

We are now preparing for Issue Two and invite Tribes and partners to share their work, stories, and values. From the Field continues to provide a space that honors Indigenous voices, fosters community, shares knowledge, and creates networking opportunities.

Please review the submission guidelines and prepare your submissions before the submission deadline of June 1st, 2026. We also welcome feedback from our readers and contributors as we grow this publication.
