The retreat ended up being a great idea incubator for me. I now have resources and ideas for a number of projects we are interested in trying to fund. The NAFWS staff and the other attendees were very helpful. I especially appreciated the fundraising planning worksheet exercise - I basically left the retreat with a draft grant application!"

I found the information regarding the different tools in ArcGIS as well as the information on how to better organize data overall very helpful.

Very helpful to brainstorm ideas with other participants during the activity where we set up a “mock” project. I also really appreciated the presentations, especially around grant opportunity “clearinghouse” websites. It’s nice to know where to look for all potential grant opportunities! And the field trip was FANTASTIC!
