Grant Seeker Retreat

Hosted by: 

Native American Fish and Wildlife Society and the Pueblo of Santa Ana Department of Natural Resources

NAFWS will co-host this in person event with an AERI grantee, the Pueblo of Santa Ana in New Mexico.
Scope: This event is a two-day workshop from 10/28/25 – 10/29/25 and will serve both grant applicants and grantees with a focus on AERI and Peer-to-Peer Learning. Below is a tentative schedule:
Day 1 – Classroom Day
 Grant writing for AERI, NCRF, and other large grants
 Diversifying Funding/Other Funding Opportunities
 Pipeline Support Session (Focused on AERI grantees – reporting, wrap-up, next steps/further funding, etc)
Day 2 – Site Visit Day
 Site visit to an AERI Project Site
 Networking Event between grantees and applicants

Registration:

*NAFWS members receive exclusive registration access to this course until July xx.*

NAFWS members or Member Tribes: There will be no registration costs for NAFWS members or member Tribes.

NAFWS Non-member: If you are not a member or from a non-member Tribe, the cost of this course is $150.  

Attendance is limited to 30 participants.

Please limit registration to two representatives per Tribe or Tribal Organization.

Travel Reimbursement available for NAFWS Members: Select “Yes” for travel reimbursement question at check-out and NAFWS will confirm if you qualify after registration.
